Located on the edge of Altoona , the campground is situated on a wooded hillside with sites to accommodate a variety of types and sizes of RV’s. A railroad theme is used throughout and reflects the railroad heritage of Altoona and the former Pennsylvania Railroad. One may park their motorhome along Broadway Limited Lane (named for one of the PRR’s passenger trains) or pitch a tent at Kittanning Point (after a railroad point close to the Horseshoe Curve).
A special attraction in the campground is the large train layout in the camp office. Daryl has added a working turntable and quarter round house plus new track and trains for the 2007 season. See our engineer, Daryl, for a chance to see the trains in action.
